Wicked - Woodwork , started in 2012, is owned and operated by Abbeydorney, Co.Kerry local, Brian Leen. As a qualified carpenter, Brian has over six years experience in working with wood in many different forms. 

 

As a young entrepreneur, Brian is extremely driven and ambitious. From a young age, he was always tinkering about in his workshop creating beautiful pieces of woodwork for around the house, everything from coasters to candleholdres.

 

Brian is committed to the utmost level of craftsmanship and professionalism. His passion lies in creating an array of bespoke, handcrafted gifts and furniture from the finest of Irish woods. His most recent projects have included the Irish tradition of sugan chair construction. Sugan chairs are crafted without nails and their strength relies soley on the framework  design, and the mortise and tenon joints which hold the chair together. Perfecting this craft with enthusiasm has lef Brian to great success in his first year of business.

 

Brains goal when strating Wicked Woodwork was to create traditional Iirsh furniture which will last for generations. He has created a variety of quality sugan furniture for any home and also restores and/or re-twines old sugan chairs for those that wish to keep their original pieces. Brian has said that "while I take great pride in my craft, my most important goal is to have satisfied customers".
